Dikembe Mutombo


Dikembe Mutombo is a quintessential global ambassador. While his rise to fame was as a Hall of Fame NBA Player his impact and influence extends far beyond basketball.

A native of Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, he leads a myriad of social endeavors impacting Africa, the US, and many countries around the world. He serves on the boards of the CDC, National Constitution Center, Special Olympics International and on the National Board for the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, and is also a member of the Concordia Leadership Council.

Through his foundation he has supported hundreds of thousands of people and has served as the Global Ambassador for the NBA since 2009. Mr. Mutombo has also been one of the leaders of Basketball Without Borders/Africa, the NBA and the International Basketball Federation’s (FIBA) global basketball development and community outreach program. He is an equity owner of NBA Africa alongside former President Barack Obama. He is also the Chairman of Bluetech Investments which secured $1B investment in collaboration with the Democratic Republic of Congo in the public and private mining sectors.
